The Gül Sultan collection is dedicated to Professor Gül İrepoğlu, a world-renowned, leading historian of the art of Ottoman jewellery and also an acclaimed novelist. This unique collection also aims to recognize all our esteemed historians that preserve and convey Ottoman heritage.
Professor Gül İrepoğlu also acted as advisor during the creation of the Gül Sultan collection. The collection displays the influence of Ottoman miniature art and focuses on main themes drawn from the broad spectrum of this art, including the Horse and the Hawk, the Peacock, Ottoman Flowers, the Crest and the Phoenix.
In addition to 18 carat gold, 24 carat gold is also used in the Gül Sultan collection; and in addition to diamonds, precious gemstones frequently seen in Ottoman jewellery such as turquoise, pearl, emerald, ruby and quartz are also used.
